Podcasting Help:

If you've been thinking about starting a podcast, but you're not sure where to start, here are a few resources you might find helpful-

Some helpful tutorials from Podcast 411.
Podbean, a free podcast host graciously pointed out to me by Sara of the SSK Podcast.
Libsyn- another podcast hosting service. It's not free, but it's cheap and I like it a lot.

Sorry for the looooong interval between Episode 7 coming out and the notes going up. Are they going to take away my Most Organized Podcaster of 2007 Award for this?

The contest for you to win my much loved copy of Oldboy ends 06/04/2007 so if you have any comments or emails to send, now is the time!

Now that I've finally put up the shownotes, I'm almost ready to put out a new episode! Talk to y'all soon!

Special thanks to Bob for being my guest on today's show, and for helping me with editing, sound effects, and post production.

No featured pattern for this episode, but if you're full of Spidey spirit with the U.S. release of Spiderman 3 this weekend, check out some of these cool spider themed knits I found :

The Spider Queen Shawl (Knitting Pattern and Kit)
a collection of spider stitch patterns from Knitting-And.com
Spider Web Sockies
a tiny double-knit spider (scare your friends and neighbors!)
crocheted spider

You can donate to help the victims and families affected by the tragedy at Virginia Tech here.

Sorry for the discombobulated nature of the show. It's mostly because I lost my outline and partially, I'm just a bad podcaster. No cookie!

See the Mother's Day afghan I'm crocheting and keep up with my crafting between podcasts at my blog.

If you haven't figured it out already, the podcast is going on hiatus for a little while until I'm over some of unpleasant symptoms of my pregnancy. It is really no fun trying to do a show when you feel like you might make a big mess on the keyboard at any moment. I'm around 12 weeks now, so hopefully I'll feel better any day and Film and Fiber will be back to your weekly scheduled rambling. Sorry I haven't posted any updates until now! Hope you're having a better month than I am!

A promo for the Film and Fiber Podcast... just what you've always wanted! Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Clause! Now you can help support Film and Fiber by playing this on your podcasts, and possibly by blaring it from your stereo while sitting in rush hour traffic. Scares the muggles, you know.

The background music is "Chopin is Dead" from Adhesion and was provided by the Podsafe Music Network. The sound of the projector was provided by Jlozano at the Freesound Project, a website that hosts a wide variety of public domain sound clips. Check them out!

The pattern for the cat bed that I mentioned, Kitty Pi, which is not a Moebius but related to Pi. Come to think of it, this is truly ideal movie knitting, from cast on to cast off. From the perpetually wonderful Wendy Knits blog.

The Spring 2007 issue comes out February 14, so you have a few more days to buy the Winter issue on newstands. After that, I first suggest checking your LYS to see if they have any back issues for sale. If they don't, you can call Vogue Knitting toll free at 877-860-6164 to inquire about purchasing a back issue from them.
